It’s a big rush when trying to figure out timing during the holiday season. Too early! Too late! No matter what you do, you can never get things to happen at just the right time. Well, don’t worry so much about all the mess and fuss of having your Holiday Cards arrive just before Christmas. Options are endless when it comes to timing.
True, the traditional time to send holiday cards is so that they are received the week before Christmas. But as we all know, it’s not uncommon to begin receiving holiday cards at the beginning of December, all the way through the middle of January. In attempt to ease the holiday rush, it became common to mail holiday cards so that they are received in the first two weeks prior to Christmas. But don’t let yourself get pinned down by someone else’s timeline.
Are you the type of person who wants to get things done immediately? You had your Christmas shopping done before Black Friday, planned your Thanksgiving dinner before it even hit November, and most definitely sent your holiday cards out well in advance. The first day of winter might be December 21st, but we all know the snow comes before that! Send a holiday card that is more subtly themed with winter decorations, and no one will feel like it is out of place when they receive your card first. Try an elegant blue and silver design like:

Perhaps for you, everything seems like it was due yesterday. Deadlines fly by, the date is always eluding you, and your plate is so full of projects that twenty-four hours will never be enough. Take a load off! As long as it’s chilly, a winter-themed card will do the trick. Focus on greetings for the Season instead of for the Holidays. A beautiful snowflake card will do just the trick:

Of course, for many the most important part of the season is celebrating with religious or holiday-specific sentiments. Photo cards, Christmas trees, and all of the traditional flair. There’s no shortage of holiday cards, like this one of Santa’s sleigh:
