Easy Halloween Cupcakes

Decorating is the biggest part of the Halloween cupcakecreation. Pick whatever cake type you like, and use a white (vanilla, creamcheese, butter cream, etc.) frosting mixed with red and yellow food coloring tomake orange. Try using chocolate frosting to accent and make each cupcake intoa little jack-o-lantern with a smiling face and stem. Also, try arranging theentire cupcake batch into the shape of a pumpkin and frost them all at oncelike a cake. Use whipped frosting that spreads easily over the tops, or getyour cupcake mosaic guru on and frost each cupcake individually with the appropriatecoloring. Creepy cupcakes are always a hit!

Moms are always looking for new colors to branch away from the traditional pink and blue to show off their babies. I would by a red and navy outfit for my boy any day over the traditional pale blue with hints of brown. Whenever I see a new design for kids that branches away from this tradition, my attention spikes and my smile spreads a little bit with pleasure. I love the variety, and I hope you do too!

 My youngest sister is about ready to leave the nest and head off to college. Hearing her stories about getting prepared for one last fling before leaving home reminds me of when, not too long ago, we planned a big party to celebrate her sweet sixteen.  I can honestly confess that at the time finding the perfect invitation for her was just shy of a nightmare.
