Halloween Is Here!

Fall is nearly here, which to me means one major thing: get ready for Halloween! Ever since I was a little kid, I enjoyed the antics of Halloween above all other holidays. I may joke about Halloween costume ideas all year long, but when Fall hits I get serious. Fortunately, I have accumulated enough decorations over the years that all I need to do is check out a few small additions at my local party store. The main things that need replenishing are the paper products: new invitations, new stationery, new napkins, and new plates.

Halloween Invitations

Halloween invitations are all themed for the spookiest day of the year. We have designs for your adult cocktail party, kids trick-or-treat party, and everything in between. You'll find the traditional orange and black as well as modern designs, formal designs, and fun themed creations. Match your invite to your costume, or pull decoration ideas from your invitation. Anything goes, so long as it's extra scary!

Halloween Stationery

Does your street hold a Halloween a block party? Are you having really huge Halloween bash? Or hosting a Haunted House? Halloween paper is a great way to get the word out there about your event. Pass them around at work, use them for your school classroom, print or color them, cut them to pieces. The options are as unlimited as your imagination. Here is your perfect and affordable, creative Halloween medium.

Halloween Plates & Napkins

You can't have a Halloween party without decorations. Paper plates and napkins are a great way to give your party extra color without having to clean up all the mess. Our Halloween plates and napkins are decorated with all kinds of Halloween themes. Pick one with a cute saying, or stick to a basic Halloween design.

When the party is over, don't forget that all of your paper products can be recycled!

How to Word Thanksgiving Invitations

When selecting your wording for your Thanksgiving invitations, there are a few things you will need to include. Because Thanksgiving is on a set day, it is more important to focus on the nature of your event than when it will occur. Here is a quick summary of things you may want to include. Your invitation should cater to your specific needs, but this guide will give you an idea of what not to leave out!

  • Timing: Guests need to know when to arrive and when to expect to eat. Because Thanksgiving is traditionally a huge feast, guests will plan the rest of their food intake for that day according to when they will be eating this meal.
  • Nature of the Event: It may seem obvious that you are getting together for Thanksgiving, but it is not obvious what you have planned for your event. Thanksgiving Day could include games, activities, and socializing all day long. It could mean attempting to fry, roast, or barbeque a turkey in the backyard. The attire and atmosphere could be relaxed and casual or formal for a sit-down dinner. Be sure your guests are informed on how they should show up, and what to expect for the day.
  • Tone: Different families celebrate in different ways, so make sure the tone and font of your invitation matches the formality of your event.
  • Location: Be sure to include the address of your home or wherever you are hosting your event. Since Thanksgiving often extended family, they may not be as familiar with the location of your home as your immediate family. Avoid confusion of how to get to your home on the day of by including the exact address on your invitation.
  • RSVP: You will want your guests to RSVP to your invitation so you know how much food (and how big of a turkey) needs to be cooked. Formal invitations should have an RSVP card included. Casual and semi-formal invitations can include RSVP information on the invitation. Be sure to include an RSVP date, contact information, and whether you want all guests to reply or if you need regrets only.

It's All in the Details

As promised, we have been busy, busy bees at Impress In Print in preparing all kinds of new invitations for you to take a look at. Our Halloween section is bubbling with new designs; our baby section is impregnated with the new and precious; fall and Thanksgiving are a bounty of colors; and our new holiday invites are jingling just around the corner. There are so many new products to look at that picking a few favorites to share with you was a major, major task. Nevertheless, I have picked three of my tops for this week to spread the love!

Each card is full of tiny details that make the overall effect a bit magical. You can see the time spent, the incredibly artistic eye, and the genuine affection in each design. They are fun without being immature, modern without being overly simplistic, and have a strong concept of shape and form. The sample text coordinates so perfectly that you barely realize the extra design and style added from the text alone. If you're looking for top quality, these three would definitely fit the bill.

Fiesta Duo InvitationFiesta Duo Invitation

This card is a redesign of Inviting Co.'s extremely popular Fiesta Couple invitation. While the old design is still really adorable, this new design has already got me wanting to plan a fiesta. The couple is completely decked out from head to toe, and a colorful Mexican banner flutters in the background. I particularly love the detail on her shoes! Really, it's the little details of this card that make it such a fabulous design.

Autumn Squares Invitation Autumn Squares Invitation

This fall pick is definitely one of my favs because of the mix of designs. It combines modern squares and text design with more traditional image-based design. At one look, this invite appears both busy and simplistic. It also brings out fall without being too specific, which means it would work great for Thanksgiving, a fall party, a harvest festival, or even as a seasonal greeting.

Bird Tree Egg Boy Twins InvitationBird Tree Egg Boy Twins Invitation

I love this card from Noteworthy Collections because of its options. You can get it for a boy, girl, twin boys, twin girls, or boy and girl twins. What's more, you can use it as a shower invitation or as birth announcements. I am a huge fan of versatility. I like to see a card that can work perfectly for several different options, because it reminds me of how different yet similar all of our lives can be.

Have you used one of these invitations before? Let me know what you used it for and what you thought of it!
